Day 18 NYC

After over two weeks on the road, I finally made it to the big apple. It feels great not to sit in the car or sleep in a motel anymore.

I manage to get some skateboarding in which is a great way to see the streets of NYC.

I think a great way to settle into a new city is on a skateboard. I want to know the city from street level up.
Little Italy is insanely busy. You barely have any room to walk without running into someone.

Day 17 Philadelphia

I'm excited to finally get to Philly, home of the cheesesteak. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got here but it turns out I really like this city. It's on my top 5 favorite cities in America.

One of the first thing we had to do was find Pat's the birth place of the infamous Philly cheesesteak.

Geno's is across the street, they perfected the cheesesteak.

My brother came down from NYC to hang out.

We did a little site seeing of some historic landmark but it was toward the end of the evening so things we're closing down. We plan to dedicate the next day to seeing sites.

We hung out at Love Park, an infamous skateboard spot. There were tons of skaters, break dancers and dudes hanging around. It's a cool spot just to people watch.

One of the buildings had toy piece sculptures.

We went cruising around in the evening checking out the nightlife. Paul met a new friend.

Day 16 Washington DC to Philly

We rolled into Washington just as rush hour began.
Luckily we found a tourist info center which gave us some great advice– take the subway into town.


We didn't have much time in Washington DC but we managed to check out the Museum of Natural HistoryGrasshopper hugs

It's too bad we didnt' get to see that much but we saw a few monuments and buildings

I wanted to see the Panda's at the zoo but all I got was this rainbow.
The Zoo was closed when we got there.
Next stop, Philly!

Day 15 Graceland to Dollywood

We decided we needed a good breakfast at some ma and pa diner to really begin the day right.


While we were looking for a place to eat we considered this place...for a sec.

We found a local dinner for a little chicken, mash, corn bread and mac and cheese for breakfast.
So, we're driving north after a day at Graceland and I spotted Dollywood on the map. We HAD to peep this place. Is there really an amusement park on Dolly Parton's boobs? My curiosity got the better of me.



We navigated ourselves to the direction of Dollywood but not before we saw a strip of amusement theme restaurants, rides and hotels. It was terribly tacky and we began wondering what we're doing here...but we persevered, we want to know what Dolly's park is all about.

Before we got there, we saw a factory outlet mall with flying pigs. We had to investigate further! It turns out it was a mini putt. After Tiger Woods recent inspiring victory, I was motivated to play a round of 18. But there was tons of little kids in line. I had to reluctantly skip it...

When we finally got to Dollywood, we were disappointed that it was 50 bucks for the last two hours. After looking at the map we decided it was not worth it.

Tomorrow we head to Washington, DC to check out some white buildings

Day 14 Graceland

How can someone be in Memphis without going to Graceland? We were lured by the man's mystique so we spent a few hours at Elvis' home. I don't know much about him but there's something pretty cool about going to his house and finding out what he's all about.

This is his TV room. He has three televisons, one for each major TV station

This is the Jungle Room. He had a waterfall in the room that lit up. The chair in the corner is Lisa Marie's chair.
Outback, he had a small building for a staff that handled all his fan mail.
