On the way down we decided we MUST drive through a tree at the Redwood Forest! It was 5 bucks and we spent no more than 5 minutes there but it's something you just gotta do.
I love the blue sky and the wispy clouds. The landscape is more arid, the landscape became rolling hills, and vineyards line the highway as head toward San Francisco.
Crossing over the Golden Gate is cool, you see the whole skyline of San Francisco.
We drove around for a bit looking for a place to stay. It's quite a busy weekend here so a motel wasn't so easy to find. We settled on Motel Capri, just off Lombard Street. It's the nicest motel we've stayed at so far.
After dumping our stuff off, we ventured off looking for a Mexican restaurant on 16th Street. It's really hard to find parking so we ended up driving around for a quite a while. We saw how ridiculously steep the hills are in this city and how rad all the buildings are. Eventually we found this buzzing Mexican place that was pretty decent.
In the evening we ventured off to 16th Street and checked out a bunch of jams. We found the San Francisco version of Brickhouse complete with fix gear bikes locked up. We thought it was ridiculously scenester so we went to Kilowatt, a rocker jam that was way better. It even had peoples dogs running around inside. I played fetch with the dog inside a bar...amazing.
We caught wind of some jam at a place called Rickshaw Stop. We had a couple of drinks, watched some scenester chicks dance and bounced back to motel. We wandered around the hood and checked out what's happening before we called it quits for the night.
